Abstract: In order to lower the NH3 content of effluent from stripper and reduce the energy consumption of stripping unit, the effects of inlet feed temperature of stripper on the NH3 content of effluent, as well as the inlet feed temperature of deacidification column on the NH3/H2S content of bottom effluent were analyzed. The main cause of fluctuating NH3 content of effluent was found and measures for optimizing the operations of stripper and deacidification column were proposed. Since adopting these optimization measures, the ammonia content in effluent was reduced significantly and reached less than 30 mg/L; the average consumption of medium pressure steam and low pressure stream was reduced 25.88 and 17.14 units, respectively. The reuse of discharge water in hydrocracking unit increased from 10 m3/h to 16 m3/h, indicating that 6 m3/h effluents were reduced.
