Abstract: A FCC gasoline pre-hydrotreating catalyst is developed and commercialized. The calibration results demonstrate that the mercaptans content in FCC gasoline is reduced to 2.7 μg/g from 21.6 μg/g, the diene value is lowered to 0.20 gI/(100 g) from 0.64 gI/(100 g) and the olefin content loss is 0.3%. No octane number loss is observed. The results confirm that the pre-hydrotreating catalyst has advantages of high hydrogenation activity and selectivity in minimizing the hydrogenation of olefins.
