FACTORS INFLUENCING FORMATION OF FOAM LAYER IN COKE TOWER AND INHIBITION METHOD

Abstract: Based on the theoretical mechanism of foam layer formation and decay in coke tower, the effects of feed(residual oil)composition, coking products and operation conditions on foam layer were analyzed, the methods of inhibiting foam layer were put forward, and the research prospect of foam layer in delayed coking tower was prospected. It is showed that the properties of foam layer could be determined by the feed composition, and coking products ,and operation conditions also had a vital influence on foam layer.
