Abstract: A large account of fluid catalytic cracking diesel(FCC diesel) with high aromatic content, low cetane number was produced in a petrochemical company. In order to solve the problems of high hydrogen consumption and high operating cost of FCC diesel processing in the hydrocracking unit, the FCC diesel is converted to the coking gasoline and diesel hydrogenation unit as an industrial test. The data of raw material properties, main operating parameters, product properties, material balance under different blending ratio were compared. The results show that the density and the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are increased significantly, the cetane number is greatly reduced, and the average temperature of the reaction increases greatly. Under the present production conditions, it is suitable to control the feed ratio of FCC diesel no more than 20%.
