Abstract: The process simulations of continuous catalytic reforming needs high-efficient and accurate model. At present, the initial model is established by lumping according to the kinetic characteristics of the reactants, and the model is then estimated using laboratory or actual production data. However, because of the large difference in reaction rate between the lump components, the model has strong rigidity, which makes it difficult to estimate the parameters of the model and has the problems of time-consuming and poor convergence. In order to solve these problems, a quasi-steady-state assumption was proposed to simplify the calculation of the rigid components in the lumped model. The results show that this method can effectively simplify the lumped model for the 30 lumped model with continuous reforming band, and improve the estimation efficiency of model parameters.
