PROGRESS OF HEXAMETHYLENEDIAMINE SYNTHESIS TECHNOLOGY

Abstract: Hexamethylenediamine is an important raw material for the production of nylon 66 and other products. It has great application potential in chemical fiber, electronic industry and polymer materials.This paper reviews the hydrogenation of adiponitrile, caprolactam and hexanediol amination, and the advantages and disadvantages of each technical route were analyzed. The "blowout" growth of domestic caprolactam production capacity makes it economically possible to industrialize the process of preparing hexanediamine from caprolactam via ammoniation and hydrogenation. However, technical bottlenecks such as poor product selectivity, susceptibility to coking and short catalyst lifetime due to the uncoordinated reaction-diffusion coupling still need to be solved.
