Abstract: Ni/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared and characterized by XRD and SEM. Under the presence of H2, the catalytic performance of thioetherifying mercaptan and isoprene over Ni/Al2O3 catalyst using model FCC gasoline was studied on a continuous fixed-bed micro reaction system, as well as the effect of reaction conditions and gasoline components on the thioetherifation was investigated. Results showed that Ni/Al2O3 catalyst having a NiO loading amount of 15% exhibited good catalytic performance for thioetherifying mercaptan and diene, using a model FCC gasoline with a mercaptaneous sulfur content of 107.4 μg/g, under the conditions of a reaction pressure of 1.0 MPa, a reaction temperature of 80 ℃, a LHSV of 2.0 h-1 and a H2/oil volume ratio of 300, the mercaptaneous sulfur content of the treated oil reduced to 1.2 μg/g, reaching a mercaptan removal rate of more than 98%. The olefin content of gasoline had little effect on the thioetherifation, yet the presence of aniline and phenolic compounds had significant effect.
