Abstract: Factors affecting xylol yield in the CCR unit of Qingdao Refining and Chemical Company were analyzed including feedstock components, reaction process and operation. The main causes for the xylol yield lowered than the design value were found and optimization measures based on the current unit status were proposed. Since adopting these measures, the xylol yield increased from the initial 15.0% to 19.3%, and the quality of xylol was improved as well.
