Abstract: Polyamines were synthesized with different primary amines and epichlorohydrin. The total amine value and the tertiary amine value of the products were determined by the methods of perchloric acid nonaqueous titration. In addition, the vapour pressure osmometry (VPO) was used to determine the molecular weight of the products, and the structures of the products were characterized by infrared spectroscopy. Then, polyamines together with poly (1-decene sulfone) were added to commercial diesel fuel to evaluate its antistatic properties. The results show that the polyamines with different structures can improve the conductivity of the commercial diesel significantly, and the performance of the polyamine synthesized by chain fatty amines is perfect. When the dosage of the n-butylamine polyamine and the poly (1-decene sulfone) are both 2 mg/L, the conductivity of the 0# diesel can increase from 3 pS/m to 487 pS/m. After 9 days stored, the conductivity of the 0# diesel increased to more than 2000 pS/m, and did not decrease even stored in 25 days.
