Abstract: On the basis of RSS-1A catalyst in RHSS technology, RSS-2 catalyst is developed through optimizing carrier, active metal, atomic ratio and promoter. The pilot plant test and commercial applications in a 0.80 Mt/a jet fuel hydrogenation unit in Yanshan branch, Sinopec indicate that RSS-2 catalyst has a high activity & a good stability, and is adaptable for different feedstocks. Compared with the first generation catalyst RSS-1A, under the same hydrogen pressure，the space velocity of RSS-2 can increase by 30% with lower reaction temperature and lower H2/oil ratio. The qualities of the product meet the specification of No.3 jet fuel, the same as RSS-1A.
