SENSIBILITY OF GREASE ADDITIVES IN POLYUREA GREASE

Abstract

Abstract: Several kinds of grease additives were added to polyurea grease. The sensitivity of different additives to friction and wear of polyurea grease was studied by using MS-10 four-ball friction tester. The wear surface morphology, element content and chemical state of the steel balls were analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and the high temperature stability of the polyurea compound grease was analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). The results showed that the load-carrying capacity, anti-wear and friction reduction performance of polyurea grease could be improved obviously by the compound additives.
