Abstract: The correlation of resin content and asphaltene content with carbon residue, (Ni + V) content, sulfur content and nitrogen content was obtained by multiple regression method. The results showed that there was a good quantitative relationship between asphaltene content and carbon residue value, (Ni + V) content, and there was an obvious quantitative relationship between resin content and carbon residue value, nitrogen content. The correlation coefficient of resin content and asphaltene content is higher than 0.9, which is similar to that obtained by RIPP 10-1990 “determination of four components of heavy oil by alumina adsorption”.
