Abstract: The coke-burning regeneration tests of FCC spent catalyst in air (conventional regeneration) and oxygen/carbon dioxide atmosphere were carried out in the fixed fluidized bed test equipment. Based on the results, the kinetics of conventional regeneration and oxygen/carbon dioxide atmosphere regeneration were studied. The results showed that the apparent activation energy of the reaction in O2/CO2 atmosphere regeneration was similar to that in conventional regeneration, which was 108 kJ/mol and 105kJ/mol, respectively; the apparent reaction rate constant in O2/CO2 atmosphere regeneration was higher than that in conventional regeneration, and the coke-burning performance of the catalyst was better than that of conventional regeneration, which could allow the catalyst to contain more carbon. For the regeneration in O2/CO2 atmosphere, with the increase of the initial O2 content in the mixed gas, the coke-burning performance of the catalyst was significantly enhanced.
