Abstract: A high molecular weight organic friction reducer wassynthesized through esterification reaction using polyisobutene maleic anhydride and polyethylene glycol as raw materials, xylene as solvent, and small molecule alcohol as end capping agent. Obtain transparent samples with good oilsolubility and low acid value. The anti friction performance of the synthesized sample was evaluated using HFRR high-frequency reciprocating testing machine and MTM micro traction testing machine. The thermal oxidation stability was evaluated using a rotating oxygen bomb tester, differential scanning calorimeter, and thermal oxidation tester. The results showed that thesynthesized sample had good thermal stability and high-temperature anti friction effect.
