Abstract: CO₂ is both a greenhouse gas and a renewable carbon resource. The conversion of CO₂ into more valuable energy, chemical and material products is an important way to promote carbon cycle and achieve carbon neutrality, and catalysis is one of the important technologies in the process of CO₂ conversion. The important progress in heterogeneous catalytic progress of conversion CO₂ to typical C₁ and C₂+ products was reviewed, the conversion route of C₂+ conversion to ethanol and low-carbon olefins was taken as an example, and the opportunities and challenges in this field were further discussed.
