Abstract: Using 43℃accelerated oxidation storage method to study the variation of existent gum in gasoline having detergent during long-term storage was carried out. Results showed that storage time had significant effect on the existent gum of gasoline having detergent, followed by the quality of blank gasoline and the type of detergent. When adding detergent into gasoline with poor stability, the existent gum increased linearly with storage time. However, detergent could help dispersing the gum precursor to inhibit the formation of gum and thus, the storage stability of gasoline having detergent was improved.
