When the TS-1/diesel volume ratio increased to 0.05, the sulfur content of treated straight-run diesel A was dropped to 42 μg/g, the desulfurization rate was 94.1% and the diesel yield was 99.5%. The removal of sulfide from low sulfur content (374 μg/g) straight-run diesel B and high sulfur content (1 737 μg/g) straight-run diesel C with TS-1 was also studied, and results showed that high desulfurization rate could be obtained under the optimal operation conditions.

In order to lower the NH3 content of effluent from stripper and reduce the energy consumption of stripping unit, the effects of inlet feed temperature of stripper on the NH3 content of effluent, as well as the inlet feed temperature of deacidification column on the NH3/H2S content of bottom effluent were analyzed. The main cause of fluctuating NH3 content of effluent was found and measures for optimizing the operations of stripper and deacidification column were proposed. Since adopting these optimization measures, the ammonia content in effluent was reduced significantly and reached less than 30 mg/L; the average consumption of medium pressure steam and low pressure stream was reduced 25.88 and 17.14 units, respectively. The reuse of discharge water in hydrocracking unit increased from 10 m3/h to 16 m3/h, indicating that 6 m3/h effluents were reduced.

When CGP-S catalyst occupied 60% of the total catalyst inventory, the ratio of sulfur content in naphtha to sulfur content in feedstock was decreased 49.23% and 27.43% as compared with that of the base case and CGP-2 case, respectively. CGP-S catalyst also showed good bottoms crackability and product selectivity, furthermore, the quality of naphtha was improved. The selectivity of gasoline increased 2.27 percentage points, MON increased about 1 unit and olefin content in gasoline decreased almost 4 percentage points as compared with the performance test results of CGP-2 catalyst.

Based on the refrigerating characteristics of condensing oil vapor recovery system, the hydrocarbons recovery principles and the condensation efficiency were discussed by numerically analyzing the condensation curves of three various oil vapor-air mixtures. Results showed that the oil vapor recovery rate was mainly depended on the mixture compositions. Therefore, the design of condensing oil vapor recovery equipment should base on the characteristics of oil-gas mixtures. The latent loads from the condensation of oil-gas mixture were cooling loads mainly, in which the cooling loads of the shallow cooling stage and the deep cooling stage were relatively heavy. Structure characteristics of fin-tube heat exchangers for condensing oil vapor recovery were discussed based on the calculated data of cooling loads.

By comparing the energy consumption of a FCC unit processing heavy feed prior and post to revamping with MIP technology, it can be seen that the energy consumption post to revamping is declined due to the decrease of required reaction heat and the increase of steam output. The energy balance and exergy balance are computed and analyzed using three-link model which including energy exchange and transmission link, technology utilization link and energy recovery link. Results show that in the energy recovery link of the unit, potential energy saving space still could be found, such as improving the energy utilization of regenerator and flue gas turbine. Some suggestions for further energy conservation of the unit are discussed and proposed.
