改性活性炭对石脑油中有机氯的吸附性能研究

MODIFICATION OF ACTIVATED CARBON AND ITS ADSORPTION PERFORMANCE OF ORGANIC CHLORIDE IN NAPHTHA

摘要: 采用硝酸和双氧水对活性炭进行氧化改性,研究改性活性炭对石脑油中有机氯的吸附性能。采用Boehm滴定和FT-IR方法对改性活性炭表面官能团进行表征并用BET方法分析其物理结构,使用微库仑仪分析产物有机氯含量。结果表明,活性炭通过氧化改性可以在表面大量引入酸性官能团(羧基、内酯基、酚羟基),酸性明显提高。通过脱氯实验发现,温度的提高可以显著增加改性活性炭的吸附性能,在350℃下,5%双氧水改性活性炭对有机氯的脱除率可高达96.6%。剧烈的氧化作用虽然能引入更多的酸性官能团,但对活性炭微孔结构破坏严重导致物理吸附容量降低,其综合的吸附效果未有显著提高。

Abstract: The oxidative modification of activated carbon was carried out using HNO3 and H2O2 respectively. The performance of adsorbing organic chloride in naphtha of the modified activated carbon samples was investigated. Boehm titration, FT-IR, BET method and micro coulometry were involved in the analysis and characterization of surface functional groups, pore structure and chlorine content. Results showed that the acidity of the modified activated carbon was increased by the increase of acidic surface groups (carboxyl, lactone and hydroxyl); its performance of adsorbing organic chloride could be enhanced with the increase of temperature. An organic chloride removal rate of 96.6% was obtained at 350℃ with a 5% H2O2 modified activated carbon. Severe oxidation could result in stronger surface acidity yet the adsorption capacity of the modified activated carbon did not increase significantly due to the microstructure collapse.
