Abstract: Dicyclopentyldimethoxysilane (DCPDMS) was synthesized by the addition of silicon hydride method and the reaction conditions were studied. Firstly, dicyclopentyldichlorosilane (DCPDCS), a reaction intermediate, was prepared under the optimal conditions of a reaction pressure range of 1.0-1.2 MPa, a n(dichlorosilane)/n(cyclopentene) of 1.16, a reaction temperature range of 85-95℃, a catalyst dosage of 1.2 g, an isooctyl alcohol dosage of 2.3 g and a reaction time range of 6-7 h. The conversion of cyclopentene and the yield of DCPDCS were 96.2% and 88.9%, respectively. Then DCPDMS was synthesized under the following reaction conditions: in the first reaction stage and the second reaction stage, the n(methanol)/n(DCPDCS) was 1.33 and 4.95, respectively; the reaction temperature was ambient temperature and below 50℃, respectively. The conversion of DCPDCS reached 87.6%, and the DCPDMS yield was 79.5%.
