Abstract: The nitrogen and oxygen compounds in diesel distillate from Huadian shale oil were separated and concentrated by acid-base extraction and column chromatogram separation. The compositions of these nitrogen and oxygen compounds were analyzed by GC-MS. Results indicated that the nitrogen compounds in said diesel distillate were mainly composed of 1-3 ring compounds, such as pyridine, quinoline, indole, carbazole and their alkylated derivatives, as well as aliphatic nitriles. The majority of oxygen compounds found in the distillate were acidic oxides, for example, phenol, naphthol and their alkylated derivatives.
