Abstract: The rolling bearing life of the greases composed of different thickeners and base oils were tested under light load condition. It is found that the maximum life is closely related to the properties of the antioxidant used, which is the main factor influencing the rolling bearing life, and has a linear relationship with amount of antioxidant. With the increase of added antioxidant, the bearing life is prolonged. But if the test temperature increases, due to the increase of the oxidation rate，the increasing trend of the bearing life with antioxidant amount declines.
