This is an introduction of the first commercial application of catalyst RN-32/RHC-1 in 1300kt/a hydrocracking unit in Yan San Petrochemical Corporation. The pilot plant tests showed that RN-32 catalyst has a high hydrodenitrogenation activity, and RHC-1 catalyst has a strong ability of ring-opening to obtain excellent unconverted oil as being ethene feedstock.. Based on the temperature increasing rate of catalyst, the catalysts have good stabilities which can meet the demand of long run period. The successful application of new catalysts is beneficial to improve economic profits for Yan San Petrochemical Corporation. .

Abstract The hydrofining of paraffin and microcrystal wax used FV-10 catalyst was expounded.The results showed that higher active and stability preceded FV-1 and 481-2B catalysts to be suitable to production of food grade paraffin and microcrystal wax. FV-10 catalyst had be applied in three set of industrial sets and the quality of product is eligibility, which run smooth reached the destine target.

In the direct coal liquefaction process the solvent for preparing coal slurry has very important function. Shenhua Direct Coal Liquefaction Process adopts "full hydro-treated H-donor solvent", which is very important for the process. The operation experience of BSU and PDU shows that: after several times of hydro-treating, the heavy aromatics generated from FCC HCO extraction unit can serve as the starting solvent for the direct coal liquefaction process.

Abstract A solvent deasphalt-furfural refining process with vacuum residue and RFCC slurry as the feeds was studied.The experimental results indicate that the vacuum residue with 40% RFCC slurry, after butane deasphalting, can produce eligible asphalt products for heavy traffic road; deasphalted oil after furfural refining treatment has improved catalytic cracking performances and extracted oil can be used as the feedstocks of the aromatic rubber filling oil. In all this composite process will provide a new reasonable using way for slurry of resid fluid catalytic cracking unit .

The effect of reaction temperature, reaction time, the ratio of water and oil on aquathermolysis of Liaohe extra-heavy oil was investigated. With respect to the original crude oil, the viscosity of oils obtained after aquathermolysis was decreased, the contents of saturate and aromatic hydrocarbon were increased, the contents of resin and aspaltene was reduced with the rising of reaction temperature, reaction time and the ratio of water and oil. From the experimental data, the extra-heavy oil was undergone visbreaking during the process. The reaction was basically completed, when the reaction temperature was 240℃, the reaction time was 24h, the ratio of water and extra-heavy oil was 0.5. Laboratory experiments showed the viscosity could be decreased from 147.5Pa·s to 115.4Pa·s and the mean molecular weight could be changed from 674 to 550 by aquathermosis. A conclusion can be drawn, extra-heavy oil with lower sulfur content can be upgraded by aquathermolysis and be exploited using downhole upgrading technique.

alkenyl succinic acid as an anti-rust additive is generally used in steam turbine oil. The interfacial tension, interfacial shear viscosity,oily viscosity and stability of steam turbine oil-distilled water and steam turbine oil-synthetic seawater which contain alkenyl succinic acid have been tested in laboratory. Results showed that alkenyl succinic acid can reduce interfacial tension of steam turbine oil-distilled water observably. At the same time, the intensity of interface membrane and the interfacial shear viscosity are relatively strong; and the emulsion is relatively steady. When the water is synthetic seawater , the interfacial activeness of alkenyl succinic acid is farther stronger; and the interfacial tension is farther smaller. So the ——can be adsorbed in the interface of oil-water at best. And then the stability of emulsion is better because of the compact and strong interface membrane. It’s most important for the stability of steam turbine oil emulsion.

The gas, liquid and catalyst samples at different positions in two commercial RFCC strippers were obtained by the on-line sampling. The gas composition, liquid product distribution and catalyst carbon content were analyzed. The results show that physical stripping and chemical reaction occur at the same time in the RFCC stripper. The physical stripping process is dominant in the upper part of stripper, whereas the chemical stripping process is dominant in the lower part. Heavy hydrocarbons carried by catalysts undergo thermal cracking, catalytic cracking and dehydrogenation condensation reactions in the RFCC stripper. From the top to the bottom of the stripper, thermal cracking and catalytic cracking reactions decrease, while dehydrogenation condensation reactions increase.

In order to analyze the enhanced heat transfer mechanism of helical rib, the 3D models of the double-tube and tube-bundle heat exchangers are set up respectively using FLUENT software, and the shell-side characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop are simulated. The numerical results show that the enhanced heat transfer mechanism of helical rib is to generate helical flow, and the increased velocity and secondary flow caused by helical flow in the shell side can decrease boundary layer thickness, and promote fluid mixing between the main body and the boundary layer. The interaction of helical flow among heat transfer tubes can further promote heat transfer coefficient of heat exchanger. The helical angle of helical rib and Reynolds number exert a notable influence on shell-side Nusselt number and pressure drop. It is proposed that the helical angle and Reynolds number should be confined in a certain range. The numerical simulation results have better agreement with the experimental data.
